Weighting just over 0.5 Kg, you can hold the DEWE-43 in one hand, and yet inside this small rugged box beats the heart of a giant. It's got eight dynamic analog inputs, each one backed up with a 24-bit AD converter for simultaneous sampling at the highest resolution. And the inputs are our "universal" type, which can handle strain gages and voltages up to +/-10V natively ... or connect our tiny MSI adapters and convert any of them to a different input type, including IEPE accelerometer inputs, 200V inputs, RTD's and thermocouples.
Select any sample rate up to 200 kHz/ch (simultaneous) for incredible ALIAS-FREE dynamic recordings (anti-aliasing filtering is built in, of course).
Is it rugged? You bet. We CNC each one out of a solid block of aluminum, so it's tough as nails. Only Dewetron builds instruments this way.
The DEWE-43 is the ideal solution for demanding dynamic data acquisition applications, when you need something with stellar specifications, and yet with a small and budget friendly footprint.
There are eight great dynamic analog inputs, plus eight advanced counter inputs. Each one can be configured as a counter, timer, RPM converter, encoder input, and more. These inputs are 100% synchronous with the analog inputs, of course.
Each counter LEMO connector also has 3 x digital TTL input lines on it, so there are 24 synchronous digital inputs as well!
Then in addition there are two high speed CAN BUS interfaces, so you can connect up to two CAN systems in all kinds of cars, trucks, trains, aircraft engines, military vehicles, farm and construction vehicles, and more. Everything is recorded synchronously to a single data file under DEWESoft, which is included with the DEWE-43 Bundle.
Plug the DEWE-43 into your notebook computer via USB 2.0, and connect the power (adapter included), and you have a system in moments. You can add a webcam to your notebook computer, to add video to your data.
USB connection is secured with unique MINI-USB cable that includes special lock-in screws. Cable is included in the bundle package.
Because the eight dynamic analog inputs on the DEWE-43 are "universal" type, they can handle strain gages (full bridge) as well as voltages up to +/-10V natively. But for even more versatility, connect our tiny MSI adapters and convert any of them to a different input type, including IEPE accelerometer inputs, 200V inputs, RTD's and thermocouples. MSI adapters are "smart", using TEDS technology to communicate with the DEWE-43 as soon as they are plugged in.
Simply by connecting an MSI-BR-ACC, for example, the channel sets itself up automatically to handle IEPE (aka ICP) sensors, such as microphones and accelerometers. We have MSI adapters for J, K, T thermocouples, as well as RTD sensors, and higher voltages (up to +/-200V).
