Any SIRIUS® instrument can be configured with a range of available amplifiers to acquire data from virtually any kind of sensor source. Roughly amplifiers are split into three families:

160dB dynamic range

With our Dual Core ADC technology SIRIUS® systems are capable of 160dB dynamic range. We've improved the dynamic range by over 25 dB - that's 20-times less noise.

In practice this means you will experience vast improvement in measurement at a small increase in bit-rate. Measurement precision is astonishing and you will be able to measure entire signal range without loss of data and your signal will never be clipped because of overload.

Super counters

Our super counters technology worka on a 102.4 MHz internal time base, always independent of the current sample rate. In comparison to standard counters, which only output whole numbers like 1,1,2,2,3,4, our super-counters are able to extract the accurate values like 1.37, 1.87, 2.37, ... fully time and amplitude synchronised.

This is done by measuring the exact time of the rising edge of the signal with an additional counter.

Amplifiers


With available amplifiers, we can support almost any kind of signal and sensor. Analog: voltage up to ±1000V, accelerometers, charge sensors, strain gauges, load cells, pressure sensors, thermocouples, RTDs, etc. Digital, GPS, ARINC 429, 1553, PCM, Chapter 10, Flexray, CAN, RS232, Ethernet and more... Each amplifier channel is galvanically isolated unless otherwise specified.

SIRIUS® slices

SIRIUS® slices are prebuilt modules configured with 8 standard amplifiers which can hold 8 or 16 analog channels and can fit into any SIRIUS® chassis form factor. Slices come in isolated and differential version.

Pre-configured slices are set of 8 identical amplifiers but you can build customised slice which can hold any combination of amplifiers within amplifier family. Mixing of technologies (Dual Core, High Density, High Speed) inside one slice is not possible. Dual core, high density and high speed SIRIUS® slices can be freely combined and synced together.

Form factor


SIRIUS® is available in many different chassis setups. Each setup is configured with number of possible amplifiers (channels) and available options. Choose stand alone instrument with built-in display or just an USB DAQ device to go with your laptop. Options are endless.
